Full circle...

Remember this post? This girl is going through the temple in May. Life is good, so good.

Loving this one...

Is it wrong to have a favorite? I just keep telling myself that it's his age. I love the babbling, learning to use his hands, all the smiles and laughter. I love that I can put him in one place and he stays there. I love that when I walk by him he tries to catch my eye and when he does he gives me a full body smile, extending arms and legs into expressions of joy. I love the way he holds tightly onto my shirt or hand while he nurses. I love the continual adoration he gets from his brothers. Yesterday in the car Luke noticed Isaac holding his own pacifier and told Noah, "Isaac learned to hold his binkie, let's clap for him." So we drove along with the big boys clapping for their baby. I feel like clapping for him all the time too.

I think there's a little more to it than the age though. I think it's easier to love the third because I know how to let go a little better. I can do this, and I have evidence. The other two survived-- surely he will too. I can just relax and enjoy him. And enjoy him I do.

Nebulizing is a family affair

We've entered new territory as a family. Noah started having trouble breathing yesterday, and we returned home from the doctor today with a rented nebulizer and two prescriptions. The needs never end around here. Luke took advantage of Noah holding still and cuddled right in for some family snuggle time stating, "This is fun!"

The middle one

Noah helps himself to whatever he wants in the fridge. I was happy to see that this is what he found in there. It's funny to watch this little one-- so self sufficient, so confident, and determined to do things his way. I am learning, more every day, about how to let him.

Four Months Old

We're all in a state of shock.

Field Tripping- Natural History Museum (Again)

I love the taxidermied animals. It is, in my opinion, the best part of the museum.

field tripping- National Zoo

You might be wondering where the animals are. We mostly went to play with melting snow and sticks, apparently (boys?!).

We met this dear friend, a mission companion who I haven't seen in years. We have five boys between us and so many more adventures ahead of us. Luke keeps talking about "our new friends".

Someone around here likes to eat his hands

Can you blame him? If my hands were so delicious I would probably nibble them too.
